Kimberly McLaughlin

After graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Kimberly put down roots in Charlottesville and never looked back. For more than 20 years, she worked in the local school system, partnering with students and families through all the challenges, milestones, and surprises that come with everyday life. Along the way, she became a skilled listener, a steady problem-solver, and someone people could count on when things felt complicated.

Those same qualities shape her approach to real estate today.

Kimberly’s background taught her that every family has different priorities, timelines, and goals. She takes the time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and understand what matters most to her clients so she can provide guidance that’s practical, straightforward, and tailored to their needs.

As a longtime Charlottesville resident, she offers clients a deep understanding of the community she has called home for decades. Having worked with local families for much of her career, she has a unique perspective on the neighborhoods, schools, and lifestyle that make Central Virginia such a special place to live.

When she’s not working with clients, you’ll likely find Kimberly on a mountain bike trail with her family. As the mother of two boys who race mountain bikes, she’s no stranger to early mornings, scraped knees, determination, and cheering from the sidelines. It’s a big part of what she loves about life: showing up, staying the course, and enjoying the ride—even when the trail gets a little bumpy.
